In 1999, the company changed its name to the current OCC Inc. It is an acronym for "Ocean Cable & Communications", where “Ocean” signifies “from the sea”, “Cable” signifies “to the land”, and “Communications” signifies “all forms of information transmission”.
This name reflects the scope of our business: not only submarine cables, but also terrestrial cables, and comprehensive system development involving cables. It represents our aim to be a prominent presence in all areas of information and communications technology.

OCC’s logo is a “Global Ring” which represents the identity of our company.
It features a blue circle symbolizing the Earth, overlaid with a ring representing a cable.
Additionally, the design evokes the image of the sun rising above the Earth, symbolizing the growth and advancement of our company.
